DUNGAREES: THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD

Yesterday I went shopping and as is always the case,
I was resolute on the matter that I would not buy a
single thingUnder no circumstances would a shiny gold
pound slip out of my hand, nor would my debit card be
swiped, swished or see the light of day.

LET ME TELL YOU RIGHT NOW
THIS DID NOT HAPPEN.

And I'll tell you why.

It was all H & M's fault.

In my mind, as I walked into the store,
I was thinking 'I will only part with my cash
if I find a piece of clothing that is truly amazing,
an investment piece unlike anything I already own.
I can't want it, I have to desperately need
it to be mine.'

And there was me, thinking that this criteria
was pretty solid and all that, impossible to fulfil,
but lo and beholdmy eyes fell upon a collection of
dungarees and I was instantly smitten.

I tried on a few pairs in a variety of styles
and colours, but when I tried on the pair you can
see in the photo above, I knew they were the one.
They fit like the most perfect dream.

They were the right length, they were high waisted,
they were comfy, fitted, they accentuated and
complemented my figure, they were the perfect colour,
design.

You can see them below:

Get them at this link:

Normally I wouldn't go for dungarees, or I wouldn't
have thought that they'd fit me or look any good on me,
yet finding these babies has completely changed my
perspective of them. Dungarees are so versatile,
you can wear them oh so many different ways and
what's best, they make fashion easy, even if going
to the toilet becomes a bit of a nightmare what with
all the buttons, straps and zips.

Just throw on a t-shirt or jumper underneath,
or over the top (that's another reason why dungarees
are so cool) and you're good to go.

Here are some pictures of people cooler than me
wearing dungarees for you to peruse over.
Dungarees were meant to be having some big fashion
comeback yet it never really seemed to take off, so
let's start a dungaree revolution jah?!?!

STYLE/ OUTFITS/ FASHION CHAMELEON

I am a chameleon when it comes to style
and fashion. I simply cannot limit myself to one
set style, genre, influence

I'm the kind of girl who wakes up in the morning and
just puts on whatever she's in the mood for, creating
whatever girl and identity she's in the mood to be.

Some days it's a grungy, rock inspired combo,
other days it's unapologetically girly and sweet.
Some days it's complete simplicity, some days it looks like
a box of acrylic paint just projectile vomited all over me.
Some days it's a crazy mis-match, some days
it's quirky and unique, others I look like I'm either
off for a business meeting in New York City
or embarking to be a waitress at the Ritz.

And there's no inbetween.

"I wear whatever the hell I want,
I wear it however the hell I like,
and most importantly I wear it with confidence,
and I've found that if you have that confidence,
you can pretty much get away with wearing whatever
you want, however you want, and no one can judge you."
-How I view style

Sometimes I think it must be hard for people to identify
me because one day they think I'm one thing, the next
I'm something completely different.
You can see that just by the combination of outfits
I wore in the main image.
I'm not very consistent and I verge off on so many different
tangents because truth be told, I don't
identify myself as one thing or in one particular
way. I am many things, I'm complex, diverse,
a bit of both.

I know numerous people who have a set style
and you'll rarely find them swaying from it. I know
people who use fashion as an extension of
themselves and their personality, who they are,
what they like.

It's all black, it's baseball tees, it's
buckled up shoes and frilly socks, it's converse,
it's woolly cardigans, it's bows in hair, it's
business coats and tracksuit bottoms.

Whatever it may be, it all comes down to a couple of things:
1) style
2) self expression
3) image
4) identity
5) influence

But the most important thing is that whatever you wear,
whatever your influence, whatever your approach to style and
fashion, whether it be a statement, an experiment,
a bit of fun, an identity, a source of comfort, it makes you
feel good.

Who cares what other people think?

Style is accessible to everyone and personally
I think it's so interesting to see how each person
interprets and makes it their own.

Be proud of who you are.

PHARRELL'S FEDORA

It's hat in here: The Get Lucky singer wore the headgear the day after the Grammys to 'The Night That Changed America: a GRAMMY Salute To The Beatles' on Monday

The Grammy hat: Pharrell's fashion accessory was the talk of the award show

He took it! Pharrell Williams posed comically with P Diddy for an Instagram snap featuring his prized hat on Thursday

I'm sorry but I just had to have a moment of appreciation
for Pharrell's Fedora hat.

What. A. Corker. Of. A. Hat.

DR MARTENS SATCHELS

On Facebook I've liked

This is both simultaneously good and bad because:
GOOD :)
I get to see what amazing, beautiful, drool-worthy products
the guys at Dr Martens have concocted and
add it to my ever expanding list of
things I really want but don't really need

BAD :(
Good quality and beautiful designs cost a bomb,
and me no Richard Branson, so I can't just go and buy
it all straight away, and that
hurts so bad man.

And the latest products Docs have cruelly been taunting
me with are their utterly sublime satchels.

I've mentioned them on here before, but I'm
just going to post some more photos so that you can understand
why I my face is like this right now

So here we go, SATCHEL HEAVEN HERE WE COME...

(you can click on each bag for a link ;)

On the side bar it's telling me other products I
might like. Ha.
Beetch please,
I RUDDY LOVE THEM ALL!!!
