FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE QUOTES

I don't know about you, but I love Friedrich Nietzsche's quotes, and how they are so
artfully constructed with a series and sequence of words that can convey the most
beautiful and powerful of emotions and meanings.

Here are some of my favourites...

PEOPLE

When I found this the other day, I couldn't help but think how true it was.
It resonated with me so strongly, because it made me think of a couple of people
I've met this year, or people that I've grown really close too, who I would never had
thought I could click so well with, yet I do, and in some cases better than people I've
known for so much longer.

I've been lucky enough to meet some really wonderful people, people with whom
I can completely be myself around, people who never give me a reason to do anything
but smile, people who make me feel complete in some way, people who I truly hope
remain in my life for a long, long time to come.

These people are ones who I never saw coming, yet they just appeared, like
some greater force knew that they were exactly what I needed, the right kind of
people to surround myself with, and these people have given me hope in the world,
that some truly amazing people really do exist, and hoping to meet people like that
isn't a foolish dream to have. It is real. They exist. You just have to find them.
Or wait for them to find you.

Another reason why I like this quote though, is because it isn't all the usual
'when you find someone like that you should never let them go', because I know
that in an ideal world, once you find these sorts of people you should never let
them out of your sight. But in the real world, it's not always that easy.

One person I've met this year, I know for almost certain that despite the
huge impact they've made on my life, we will go our separate ways in a few
months time. This person, one of those special people of whom you only
meet but a few in your lifetime, will slip through my fingers, and even though
finding someone like them has been a dream come true, we aren't close enough
or confident enough to keep our relationship going.

It's just something that existed in this moment in time, and it was special, and
beautiful while it lasted, and even though I wish I could take them with me through the
rest of my life, I just don't think it's meant to be. So I guess all you can do is just
appreciate what you had, what little you have left to come, and just be grateful.

And as for those who you meet and you know will be sticking around,
try to hold on to them for as long as you possibly can.

BLACK AND WHITE QUOTES

As always seems to happen, yesterday
I had a crazy few hours doing a few new designs for my
Bluboca store, but unlike always seems to happen, this was succeeded by a big blow out at a Chinese buffet restaurant
in town with some of my college friends.

Fun times made all the more funner by eating
the most beautiful roast potatoes I have ever had the
privilege of eating in my whole entire life.
And they weren't even Chinese.

But anyhow, my new collection is 'Quotes' and if you like
any of these designs above, that's where you can find them!
And if you have any suggestions for quotes you would like to
see, please drop me a comment below :)

Hope you're all having a fab weekend!

STYLE/ OUTFITS/ FASHION CHAMELEON

I am a chameleon when it comes to style
and fashion. I simply cannot limit myself to one
set style, genre, influence

I'm the kind of girl who wakes up in the morning and
just puts on whatever she's in the mood for, creating
whatever girl and identity she's in the mood to be.

Some days it's a grungy, rock inspired combo,
other days it's unapologetically girly and sweet.
Some days it's complete simplicity, some days it looks like
a box of acrylic paint just projectile vomited all over me.
Some days it's a crazy mis-match, some days
it's quirky and unique, others I look like I'm either
off for a business meeting in New York City
or embarking to be a waitress at the Ritz.

And there's no inbetween.

"I wear whatever the hell I want,
I wear it however the hell I like,
and most importantly I wear it with confidence,
and I've found that if you have that confidence,
you can pretty much get away with wearing whatever
you want, however you want, and no one can judge you."
-How I view style

Sometimes I think it must be hard for people to identify
me because one day they think I'm one thing, the next
I'm something completely different.
You can see that just by the combination of outfits
I wore in the main image.
I'm not very consistent and I verge off on so many different
tangents because truth be told, I don't
identify myself as one thing or in one particular
way. I am many things, I'm complex, diverse,
a bit of both.

I know numerous people who have a set style
and you'll rarely find them swaying from it. I know
people who use fashion as an extension of
themselves and their personality, who they are,
what they like.

It's all black, it's baseball tees, it's
buckled up shoes and frilly socks, it's converse,
it's woolly cardigans, it's bows in hair, it's
business coats and tracksuit bottoms.

Whatever it may be, it all comes down to a couple of things:
1) style
2) self expression
3) image
4) identity
5) influence

But the most important thing is that whatever you wear,
whatever your influence, whatever your approach to style and
fashion, whether it be a statement, an experiment,
a bit of fun, an identity, a source of comfort, it makes you
feel good.

Who cares what other people think?

Style is accessible to everyone and personally
I think it's so interesting to see how each person
interprets and makes it their own.

Be proud of who you are.

STAY STRONG/ BE POSITIVE/ KEEP FIGHTING

Today I went off on one and created
about ten new designs for my Bluboca store
and I decided to create them in the theme
of positive thinking because I think it's rather important.

I want to remind people of the simple little things
that are the key to living a happy life, such as loving
yourselfstaying strong, choosing to live your life,
thinking positively, having hope and a smile on your
face.

I for one needed to remind myself of these things,
because I forget just as much as anyone else, and in
order for me to remain happy, these are the little
things that are going to help both me & hopefully you too.

They're also dedicated to one of my best friends
who suffers from depression and who hasn't been dealt
the best hand in life yet she still carries on
fighting, no matter how hard things get for her.

Her strength is incredible, even though she
doesn't realise it, and I admire her so much.
And these are both a little reminder to her to
stay positive and keep on fighting, but also
a dedication to a truly wonderful person who deserves
only the best in life.

:)

If you like any of these designs head to

SORT OF KIND OF DOING A BEYONCE WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE

When I think of the personification of a strong, independent, feisty
woman, I almost always think of the fabulous
Beyonce Knowles.

To me, this woman is the definition of female
empowerment, and as of today, as the title says, I'm sort of kind
of doing a Beyonce myself and following in her footsteps
and adopting her mantra when it comes to love.

Because you see, dear reader, lately something
inside me has changed.
I didn't notice this had changed until the last few weeks
it sort of hit me wham bam and I was just like
'what de.... when deed dees happen?'

And I'll tell you about it now.

For as long as I can remember being a fluorescent adolescent,
I have always had crushes and always always
always wanted a boyfriend and a super cute relationship and
yaddah yaddah yah.

Even earlier this year I was yearning for it,
and I always seemed to feel insecure because I didn't have
a boyfriend. I felt incomplete, like something was missing.
I felt frustrated that I didn't have what my
friends had, and that I could never seem to find love or a
boyfriend.
It was like I deemed myself inadequate until
I found my match.

The thought of being the only girl in my friendship group
without a boyfriend scared the crap out of me.
The thought of never finding a boyfriend till university
made me want to cry up to the heavens to get
God himself to come down here and reason with me
as to why I couldn't have one sooner.

But then..... at some point this month,
something changed.
This longing, this insecurity, this need, this desire,
this sadness, this frustration, this wanting, this caring, it all
just disappeared, went right out the window.
And I suddenly realised that the fact of the matter was,

I DIDN'T CARE.
About boys, love, any of it.

And for me that's a pretty big thing.

And what I mean by not caring is this:

1) I don't care that I don't have a boyfriend.
2) I don't care that it's not working out with anyone I do meet.
3) I don't care that my friends have boyfriends and dates
and I don't; I don't feel any less than them or
like I'm missing out.
-How can I miss something I've never had or experienced?
4) In a typical British sentiment I quite simply cannot be
arsed to stress over this anymore.
Q) Who cares?
A) Not me! (finally)

I'm not yearning for love and romance and relationships and boys.
I literally do not care.

Today I decided it was the right time to hold my hands
up and surrender, admit it's not working, it's not my time or my
moment, and take a step back out of the game.
I read somewhere that sometimes you need to give in and accept
defeat in order for better things to come together.
And that's what I'm doing.

I'm not walking away with or out of shame or defeat or weakness,
I'm walking away because I realised actually I'm happy on my own.
And this is where the whole Beyonce bit comes in.

I realised that I have never felt as strong, independent or
mentally and emotionally well as I do right now.
To use another British sentiment, I feel BLOODY FANTASTIC, and
if there was anytime that I felt I was ready
to stand proud on my own two feet, it's now.
I can handle being single.

I don't feel like I need anyone to complete me or support me,
and I'm actually kind of glad I haven't met the right person yet and
that it hasn't worked at all for me yet.

Having said that, I know I'm on this love sabbatical and all that,
but if the right person happened to pop up and say hi,
or if my dream way to fall in love happens, where I see
a stranger across a room and I just know right there and then
that he is the one, then that again is BLOODY FANTASTIC.

But until that moment comes,
I bid you farewell tonight as a girl on the brink
of womanhood who is feeling single and proud and pretty alright
and just a little bit sassy, if I must admit it.
And if I can make it to this stage,
then I'm pretty sure you can too.

Don't be afraid to walk alone and don't be afraid to like it <3

IT WILL BE OKAY

Today I write to you from a clearer, and much brighter
point of view than I have done all week.

I've ridden a roller coaster of emotions and
made it out at the other end.
In all fairness, it is my time of the month,
(my chin is resembling the Himalayas again- it's just that
spotty) and that might have had something
to do with it.

I deleted all the other posts anyway, because
I think they were meant to be written and posted and then deleted.

If you missed all the hullabaloo, basically, as you can
probably guess, it involved a boy, and
it all went a bit heads up, or maybe it didn't, I don't know,
my hormones have been crazy.
So although it felt like I knew, maybe I didn't,
maybe I jumped to conclusions too soon
and didn't give him a fair chance.

But either way, I know why I reacted so bad,
and it wasn't his fault. He didn't do anything wrong, and neither
did I. The only thing I slipped up on, was
falling prey to my old habits and for being too harsh on myself.

Confession time- I've never had a boyfriend before, or
been kissed, or anything else, only been hugged, and
when you're six months away from 18, you start to think something
is going really wrong here.

I know why I've never had a boyfriend or done those things,
and I think my reasons are completely understandable, but I'm
afraid others won't see it that way.

One of the main problems is I fall for the wrong people
time and time over, and I make the same mistakes time and time over.
I think it all stems back from the first guy I ever fell for,
but I don't want to be making those same mistakes
six years later.
I want and need change.

I always lose out, always, so when I thought I'd gotten everything
all wrong with this new guy, who is very different
to all the other guys and a step in the right direction for me,
it all just got on top of me.

I hold my hands up, I cried about it, because I thought
right back to the very first guy, and worked my way forward to the present day, and all I could see was this pattern continuously
repeating itself.
All I wanted to do was close my heart, be cold and unreachable so that
I don't get hurt again, but at the same time,
I really don't want to end up alone, I don't want to be cold
and end up hating love.

So what do I do?
Well yes, I need change, and what I decided, once I'd got back
on my feet again, was this:
It's early days with this guy, and yes maybe we aren't
meant to be that way at all, or maybe
we are but not right now.
I don't know, he doesn't know, nobody knows.
And yes I can run away like I always do when there's any doubt
or uncertainty of anything happening at all.

But the fact is, I like this guy.
I like his company, so why should I let that go, when I don't need to?
I don't need to be unhappy or put myself down.
He may not be in my life as anything more serious,
but he is in my life as a friend. And we can just be friends,
two people who get on really well, and
that sounds good to me.

And for the mean time I'm just going to focus on me,
getting the grades to get to university, finding a job, making
sure I'm just happy in myself.
And this will continue to grow on the side - I have to sit next
to him all year anyway- and maybe we will finish the year
as good friends, maybe just friends,
or maybe something will change and we will become more.

I don't know, but I can't keep over thinking and worrying
and putting myself down and doing this to myself.
I need to be a bit nicer to myself,
and whatever may happen, that is okay,
everything will be

OKAY

(:

AN HOUR WITH YOU...

I just drew this little
cutie on my graphics tablet,
and I wanted to share it with you, my lovely
readers, wherever you may be.

It's inspired by a certain someone, yes,
however their identity shall
remain a secret for now.

But if you've read some of my earlier posts,
you might be able to guess who...

And for me, the person I like to
spend my hours with is someone who makes
me laugh, who I can talk
to about anything and everything,
who I am 100% myself with,
and who makes my life
just a little bit brighter than it
ever was before.

I never know just what we will talk about,
or what will happen when
we are brought together
we can talk about anything from
our dreams, our likes, our favourites.
And we never seem to stop.

And I know that when I walk away I
am smiling, and I am happy, and when I am with
this person, I feel exactly the same.

I crave their company,
I look forward to seeing this person,
I look forward to hearing just what tales they have to
say, I like being near them,
close to them.

I wouldn't say I'm in love with this person,
but I feel myself falling just
a little bit each time I am with them, and one day
in the future I will look at this person
and realise I have fallen in love with everything
they are and everything they are not
without even realising it.

But then again, if fate has other plans,
and we just simply remain friends, I will also be happy
because having this person somewhere in my life
 is all that matters.

You can't buy that connection,
it's either there or it's not, and whether it be friendship
or loveyou must never let it go.
